A dear friend of mine has a birthday coming up. So I decided to play with some paper and make her a special card!
I took inspiration from the Jillibean Soup sketch challenge, adapting the layout sketch to make this card. It might not look much like the sketch any more, but I promise that it influenced my design!
I was also inspired (the butterfly in a polaroid and the circles) by a card on the Basic Grey blog the other day.
The little pink banner is stitched in place. Originally I had intended to use a tiny staple with my Tiny Attacher, but alas, I am already out of staples! Time for a craft store run.
I used foam adhesive (almost out of that, too! oh no!) to pop the polaroid, and I attached the fussy-cut butterflies by their centers so that I could bend their wings up a bit. I love adding dimension! Since this card is going to be hand-delivered, I don’t have to worry about it getting smooshed in an envelope.
I added a die cut (which I matted on white textured cardstock) to the inside of the card and I’ll write my message underneath. Happy birthday, my friend!
