A friend at church recently had a baby boy, so I made a pair of baby shoes for her sweet new son.
It’s been a while since I’ve sewed a pair, but it was like riding a bike… I enjoyed putting them together one evening while listening to podcasts. (Pattern from HERE)
I didn’t have a gift bag appropriate for the occasion, so I dressed up a plain blue bag that I had in my gift wrap box. I pulled out some old Cosmo Cricket cut-apart papers (from the Snorkel collection) and layered them to decorate the bag. I thought the little boy drawing was so cute and perfect for this summer baby.
The small tag is “removeable”– I just tied it on with a simple bow of vintage crochet thread that is looped through two little holes that I punched in the top of the green strip. This way the bag is a bit more reuseable– that tag can come off and another one can be added in its place.
