Here’s another card from my stamping/cardmaking adventure with my friend last weekend!
I’m not sure if this will count toward the July My Mind’s Eye sketch challenge, since it’s a card and not a layout, but I thought I’d try my hand at using a layout sketch for a card. The sketch has the photos placed in two separate clusters, and because I wanted to keep the card a little less busy since it’s a smaller “canvas,” I focused on the top cluster. Can you see it?
When I started the card, I was using a portrait orientation, and it just wasn’t working out. When I rotated it to a landscape orientation, suddenly everything came together. The circles of the background stamping mimic the circles in the sketch, and the banners mimic the arrow elements.
