As my friend and I made cards last weekend, I found myself looking to my Pinterest boards for inspiration. You see, cardmaking is actually quite intimidating to me! But this was the perfect opportunity to try out some techniques that I’d pinned. First up was this awesome embossed and resist/masked card by Jennifer McGuire. My friend’s awesome stamp stash included a handwritten music background that I wanted to try! So I basically scraplifted (cardlifted???) the loveliness created by Jennifer.
The card is not without mistakes, but I am really excited with how it turned out. I would like to try this technique again in the future, for sure!
stamps: from my friend’s stash. The sentiment is part of a larger stamp (I masked the image to stamp the sentiment).
