I really think that it is so much fun to make paper-pieced monograms for special people in my life! This monogram is for friends who love Christmas and have some of the most interesting and beautiful decorations in their house.
So, instead of doing a swirly embellishment on the letter, I decided to add a cluster of evergreen. The letter is hand-cut like all of my other monograms, but I cut a number of pine branches with my Silhouette to use for the cluster. I tied a tiny bow with triple-ply gold thread and added red rhinestones for some extra glitz, because Christmas needs lots of sparkle! The background is a piece of patterned paper from BasicGrey’s Nordic Holiday line overlaid with vellum.
I hope that it is a great little addition to their holiday decor collection! And I love how it came out so much that now I think I’ll have to make one for myself….
