As soon as my quilt back was pieced, I brought it to a local quilt shop to be quilted. I found Spring Water Designs by looking at the Baltimore Modern Quilt Guild’s website (thanks, Sara, for the recommendation to look there). I received some more great advice on researching my quilter through someone at my church, and when I went to check out the shop, I was impressed.
They were so kind to give me a call when the quilt was on the machine so that I could see what it looked like while being quilted. I find long arm machines to be absolutely fascinating!
The quilting is beautiful. I couldn’t decide between single loops or double loops, so one of the ladies at the shop suggested that they do single loops with an occasional double loop thrown in: it was the perfect idea.
It was so exciting to pick up my quilt and bring it home for the final step: binding!
