Over the weekend, I took a little mommy-daughter trip with V. Even though the reason for the trip wasn’t exactly a happy one, it ended up being a really special time for us. When I started looking through all of yesterday’s iNSD posts around the scrapbooking web, I knew I just had to scrapbook the trip today–and try and participate in a challenge.
I printed some photos at home (something I don’t usually do!!) and used One Little Bird’s Flight Plan No. 28 as my sketch inspiration (as soon as I saw the template in Peppermint’s blog post, it was like the layout composed itself in my head. Amazing.)
I also had a look at the Scrap Gals Facebook community challenges, and Jen Schow’s 5-4-3-2-1 “recipe” challenge caught my eye. It gave me the perfect “rails” to guide my creativity in a productive direction. I also was inspired by Shimelle’s weekly challenge to use arrows (there are arrows in the title area, and also in some of the patterned paper scraps I layered around the photos).
So were you wondering where the fourth and fifth photos were? Never fear– they’re there-tucked behind the three main photos. My daughter and I loved crossing the Delaware Memorial Bridge on our trip– it was our favorite part of the drive.
