I think this might be my very first 8.5″x11″ layout!
I made this layout for the first challenge in Crafty Jen Schow’s Facebook group (Crafty Use It or Lose It) for Stash Busting Month 2020. The challenge was to use this sketch:
Obviously, this sketch is for a square (presumably 12″x12″) layout, but these photos belong to a smaller story in my Disney 2016 album, so I decided to try my hand at 8.5″x11″ for this one. Not only did I change the size and aspect ratio of the sketch, but I kinda-sorta inverted it, too!
The cut file that I used on the layout is also from Crafty Jen Schow in her FB group; it’s a freebie for Stashbusting Month 2020. I cut it twice, and the full cut-out is underneath the photos. The first time, I didn’t have my settings correct for my Cameo, so I had to do some hand-trimming, and I cut a piece off to use in the upper left corner of my photo block.
Even though it’s a smaller size layout, I kept to my theme for this album of using wood veneer and enamel dots–including a “hidden” Mickey!
I’m probably not going to switch to this size/aspect ratio any time soon, but this layout certainly came together very quickly using this sketch and size! Thanks, Jen!
