This weekend is (inter)National Scrapbooking Day (weekend?!) and I wanted to participate in some of the challenges that are all over the scrapbooking sites right now! First, though, I needed a bit of a warmup, and so I made this page, which is for the second lesson in the free class “Timeless Layout Techniques” by Shimelle at scrapbook.com.
It started out with different photos and different papers (this is exactly why I needed a warmup… I was having some creativity problems this weekend), and it eventually turned into this:
I pulled out so many old supplies for this one from ancient kits to hand-me-down papers, and truly ancient patterned brads. I think the newest things on here (besides the adhesive) are the washi tape and the print-and-cut label with the date!
I used four different alphas for the title and had to play with those foam letters to get the ones I needed!
In the end, I like how it came out, and I was pleased to layer so many papers from different sources that look like they were meant to be together!
