There were five challenges in Jen Schow’s March Scrap-Madness series on Facebook, and I wanted to do them all! All I had left was the challenge to use a paper pad… and honestly, this one was not too big of a challenge for me! A large fraction of the supplies I have earmarked for my Disney 2016 album are 12×12 and 6×6 paper pads, so I decided to make a page for that album project.
This layout will face/precede THIS one, so I decided to use the same papers (or the 6×6 version of them!). Every piece of patterned paper on this layout (including the cut-aparts!) comes from a paper pad!
Even though it’s a simple layout, I will admit that it took me a while to get it put together– there was lots of shifting and rearranging because I am not used to the 8.5″x11″ size! What brought it together for me was adding the doilies. Their circular shape mimics the arc of stitching on the facing page, and they add some softness to the otherwise very rectangular layers. I guess in my scrapbooks, Belle=doilies!
On the other side of this layout, I will mount the Akershus menu with photo corners onto some patterned paper. The patterned paper is yet to be determined, since I still need to make the layouts before this one! I am enjoying this fitting-together-a-big-coordinating-puzzle process!
