The May 2022 Colors of Magic palette just called out for an Animal Kingdom page! When we were in Animal Kingdom on our trip to WDW in 2016, we enjoyed walking along the Pangani Trail and seeing all of the interesting animals as we went. Of course, I took lots of photos, and I wanted to include many of them. I alternated patterned paper and photos for both sides of this pocket page.

This is a Becky Higgins Design F pocket page, but I turned it upside-down so that the 4×6 opening would be at the bottom of the page layout.
After I’d decided which photos to print and what pockets they’d go into, I chose six patterned papers in the color scheme and cut 3×4 blocks to make cards for the rest of the pockets. I wanted the emphasis to be on the photos, so I decided to only minimally embellish each card.
And to keep a cohesive look, I used a “formula” for most of the cards. I added a strip of washi tape, a label with journaling that captions the photo, a sticker, a wood veneer arrow pointing to the photo, and a tiny gold heart sticker. I used the print-and-cut feature of Silhouette Studio to create my journaling labels.

There were a few extra 3×4 cards where no journaling was necessary, so I modified my formula: those cards just have a strip of washi, a sticker, and a wood veneer heart:

Finally, I have two feature filler cards, where I leaned into the tropical feel and made a cluster. I added a couple leaves cut with my Silhouette Cameo, a piece of filmstrip cut with a die, and a wooden Mouse head. The finishing touch on each one is a tiny gold heart sticker!

Now that I’ve shared all the little details, here’s a look at both pages together (front on the left, back on the right):
