This is the second-to-last layout for our trip to the Northwest in 2007! I’m super excited that I’m almost done, and I’ve been pleased with how these last few layouts have been turning out.
On one of the days of our trip, we went hiking in the Columbia River Gorge. It was absolutely gorgeous, and so I’ve dedicated 3 two-page spreads to that day alone. Each of the trails we hiked had a different flavor, and I’ve been trying to capture that in the pages. (You can see the first spread here: Multnomah Falls)
The second two trails were empty and peaceful, and I love how these papers were perfect complement to my photos. I used the February 2011 Project 12 sketch:
All of the embellishments on the page are made from paper– from the pre-made cardstock die cuts to the Silhouette-cut leaves. I wanted to keep this layout pretty simple in terms of embellishments so that the photos would clearly stand out.
